Mind Balance

About Project

I undertook an assignment to identify a significant problem and a meaningful scope within the healthcare industry.
Initially, I pinpointed the lack of awareness around ADHD as a potential area of concern. However, before proceeding further, I conducted extensive market research to gain a comprehensive understanding of the broader healthcare landscape and uncover critical challenges.
This research helped validate the relevance of the topic and allowed me to refine my focus toward a more impactful and user-centered direction.
I concise my research in slides to highlight the process and key areas.

Despite all of that, we still face unpredictable situations, like …

The eruption happened unexpectedly, with unclear signs because the world wasn't prepared.

We may continue to face evolving challenges in the future, such as mental health issues, high blood pressure, PTSD, and others, which have seen a significant rise in recent years.

Along with ADHD, preparing for these emerging issues is key to protecting the next generation, and it all starts with increasing awareness

Awareness can be cultivated through various approaches, allowing individuals to engage in ways that resonate with them.

Problem statement

ADHD remains under-addressed in India due to low awareness and frequent misinterpretation of symptoms as misbehavior. Diagnosis is often delayed, especially in rural areas with limited access to mental health care. Children are unfairly labeled, impacting their self-esteem, and girls are frequently overlooked due to subtler symptoms. Rigid school systems and a lack of inclusive strategies hinder academic progress. With limited behavioral support, untreated ADHD increases the risk of anxiety, depression, and social withdrawal.

Solution

Many existing ADHD applications offer only basic features and fail to adapt to user behavior. They are often too complex for parents in rural areas and create language barriers that limit accessibility. Some apps rely on deep tracking methods that can overwhelm patients and cause both children and parents to lose interest.

App key features include:

1. Simple, intuitive navigation – Easy for anyone to use, regardless of tech experience.

2. Quick behavioural analysis test – Fast and accessible screening to identify potential ADHD symptoms.

3. Instant results – Clear insights based on behavioural patterns, without complicated jargon.

4. Actionable suggestions – Practical tips tailored to the user’s needs for immediate support.

5. Professional guidance – Connects users with relevant experts based on symptom profiles.

Secondary Research

Ecosystem, Trend and Needs

ADHD is a complex disorder with a wide range of symptoms and manifestations.

ADHD Major Impact

Primary Research - User survey

I conducted a user survey and spoke with parents to understand children’s daily routines and behaviours. These conversations revealed how closely parents observe their children and how aware they are of underlying behavioral patterns.

The big idea

A solution that empowers parents to better understand evolving situations and take quick, informed action to prevent them from escalating.
